Kernel Streaming
« on: July 25, 2016, 11:55:40 am »

When I attempt playback through JRiver with Kernel Streaming, JRiver returns the error message, "6 CH 96k playback not possible on this output".
Can anyone explain why this occurs?
Thanks.

Either the channel count (6) or the sample rate (96k) isn't supported by your output device.

Just try changing both in DSP Studio > Output Format.

Then once you figure it out, set the other one back to where it was.

Thanks Matt.
May I be more specific?
Signal Chain:
NAS-ethernet-Windows 10-MC-Dirac Audio Processor-HDMI-Oppo 105D MCH...
So what would the output device be in this case?
And I may have the chain above out of order.
Thanks
Background:  This chain not unlistenable above 48k with DAP in the chain.  Without DAP in the chain, 24/96 5.1 perfect.
Thanks again
