When does MC22 become the "recommended" version?

As long as there aren't any running components (namely: Media Server) held over from MC21 it's OK to keep installed.

help me out please - how would i know if there are any running components (namely media server)?   it swhere can i verify this? 
is it as simple as just totally exiting out of MC21?

BryanC:
If you never enabled automatic media server startup then it is not an issue. If you did, disable it in MC21 and restart and you'll be good to go. You can normally see its icon in the tray or check for its running process in task viewer.
