Media Center 22.0.13 crash
« on: July 30, 2016, 02:53:22 pm »

I recently upgraded to 22.0.12 and everything seems like when I was on 21.0.90.  Yesterday, I upgraded to 22.0.13 and MC now crashes all the time but at random instances.

Here's my event viewer listing:

Could you post a JRiver log showing the crash?

Get it by doing Help > Logging (turn it on, crash, reset and view that to get the log).

Hi Matt,

I will try it later on.  I uninstalled 22.0.13 and went back to 22.0.12.  Everything has been working without issues since.

Antivirus software can cause a crash, and it can do it with one build but not another.

It's the memory reader crashing in the DSD plugin.

So disabling memory playback should fix it.

It just works perfectly for me.

I added a cap at zero for the position in the reader.  I'm not sure how it could have gotten negative, but if it did, it would certainly crash.

So please test 22.0.15 once it's available.

Well, I'm stumped.  Now that I put 22.0.13 back on, I cannot get it to crash.  I suppose that's a good thing.  And per Matt's discovery that it may be DSD related, I've been going back and forth between SACD ISOs and DSF/DFF files.  Still working.

Thx again for looking! :)

Spoke too soon.  So after every individual song or the last song of an album is played, the status shows "Waiting...".  I usually fast-forward and it will proceed to the next track.  But this time it crashed.  I've attached the log file.
