Mission Control

LETRA:
I speak of Aruba, Blue Steel, Green Eyes, Z, and other little better as Pixos and Thunder Storm. Any Mac user will reject it immediately. Windows and Linux users are accustomed to any non-harmonic interface. The Mac user sees JRiver a couple of minutes and it is impossible to convince him that it is the best media player on any operating system. Obviously none will search the forum as changing those skins. What the app default dresses is supposed to be the best for their users.

Work on the software can be very good. But the design makes it look better and more professional other worse options.

JimH:
You've made the same point several times now.

Aesthetics are very personal.  There is no right or wrong.  What you love someone else may hate.

Apple has a reputation for using good design.  In general, I agree.

Microsoft has a reputation for being more open, providing more choices.

JRiver has a reputation for providing quality software and helping to lead the evolution of digital media.

We're not gods who can guess what you will like and set it up that way for you.  We solve the problem by giving you choices whenever we can.  You have a variety of skins to choose from.

You are proposing that we change the default skin, and we have discussed that.

You could play a little music now.

Grundgütigster:

Letra is not complaining about the possibilites of changing the skins of MC. Mac users are used to work with programs that have a certain look and feel which MC definitely does not have. Programs used to follow the Apple GUI guidelines - at least in Apple's better years (now even Apple can't find them any more). So, Mac-users don't know that the skin of MC can be changed, hence they see MC, scream, and run away.
