Output Format Settings Issue
« on: August 12, 2016, 11:23:54 am »

I recently installed Media Center 22 on Linux Mint.  I've been listening through an external DAC that seems to be very particular about receiving files at a bit rate of 24/96.

When trying to play back my ripped CDs that are at a lower bitrate, I get the "playback could not be started error".  I thought I could fix this by changing the output settings in the DSP studio, but the settings only stick for one track.  As soon as the track changes, I get the error again and the DSP studio settings have all been reverted to the defaults.

Has anyone else had any similar issues and knows of a fix/workaround?

You could try turning off the "auto configure output settings on playback failure" under Tools->Options->Audio->Advanced.

Is this a USB DAC? What audio device are you selecting in MC's audio device settings?
