Uninstall 21 and the registry
blgentry:
Registry entries are independent for different versions as far as I know. It's pretty common for people to uninstall old versions after they are comfortable with the new one.

There aren't any good reasons I'm aware of to do it that way. Make a backup and restore if you *must* use a clean machine. There's no reason to start all settings from the defaults again. In MC21: File > Library > Backup Library . Then put the backup file on the MC22 machine. File > Library > Restore Library . Now all of your settings and media metadata are transferred.
But really, there are lots of people that keep 2 or 3 or more versions of MC installed at the same time with no issues.

if you import the 21 backup settings in 22 will make something a backup folder for 21 ver plus in settings will remain same 21 ver ones, just a personal expirience i do the steps i told above and works perfect..

Also don't put your fingers on stuff like TuneUp Utilities.
But the main question still remains. If i uninstall the old version and select "remove registry entries" what happens.
Do i delete also the settings for the new version or have the versions independent registry entries?

as for the myth dont count always on what you read or hear rarely reg cleaner give a small boost but a clean pc is a organized pc
i can go farther if dont get my point
