The request is to add a checkbox under "Configure Auto Import". This would be in the Tasks box. It would be

[ ] Discard keywords from imported files.

Rationale:  Some types of file (podcasts, videos) cause dozens or hundreds of keywords to be added to MC's internally maintained list of keywords. Many of these words are unwanted by users or will never be used by users in tagging their own files. Now that editing the Keyword field automatically pops up a long window of these words from the internal list, it has become difficult for the user to find and apply his/her own keywords in the long list of junk.

Adding this option would allow users to maintain a group of keywords that are meaningful to them.  By having it be an option, users who like the current scheme could keep it.
