I finally got my home network opened up so that I can access MC from outside the network. The problem was the built-in router in my modem was blocking the traffic. I had my internal router set properly but completely forgot that I even had this extra router. Gizmo on my Nexus 6P works great on and off my home wifi.
Anyway... In my excitement I had my wife try from her iphone. She is not using JRemote (I forget what the app name is) but couldn't connect. I figured it was just a problem with this app. So I installed Gizmo on my brother's 6P and it wouldn't connect at all either on or off our wifi.
My home office PC also connects to the MC server on the LAN no problem. I can stream to both the office PC and my phone simultaneously.
I am using the network code generated by MC and have confirmed that it is correct. What else could be the problem?
