How to clear access-key details
« on: September 04, 2016, 08:59:16 am »

I have a server that I run BI on and it has a few network interfaces (vlan interfaces) on it.  When JRiver reports back the access-key to the cloud, it seems to announce all of my internal IP's.  This should be a program,  but when I try to connect when off of wifi (3G), it has to scan 5 different IP's before it uses my WAN IP address.

Is there any way to remove internal IP's or atleast set it manually?

You can enter an IP address and a port instead of an access key.

192.168.1.15:52199 for example

But if I knew that, what would be the benefit of using the access key?

I know what my LAN ip's are, it's the WAN IP (that changes) which is the difficult part.

Just looking to find out how to clear the stale information or choose what I publish.

If you use the Access Key, MC will report back any changes in your external address.

To change the Access Key, turn Media Network off and back on.  You will see a new key.

Thanks Jim.

The problem i'm having is that multiple internal (private 1918 addresses) are being shown and it delays connection to go through 3 different IP's before attempting the external IP.

Is there a way to set this?

Another way of stating your problem is:  "How do I make MC use only one of my network addresses?"

You can use a third party utility to force MC to only use the internal address that you want used and not the others.  See details in these articles:
