Expectation on restoring a Library from Windows
« on: October 02, 2016, 11:39:01 am »

I am trying JRiver for Mac, current version

I have used JRiver for Windows. Version I am using is 19

Importing files on the Mac via library import finds art work.

I tried a RESTORE of the Windows JRiver version 19 library on the Mac version of JRiver.  This seemed to work in that library on the Mac has the appropriate number of files but NO art work.

Is this expected?

Is it remediable without having to go to the Internet and downloading the art work.  I have too many files to do that again.

Take a look at a few of your files that you know had art on Windows, but now don't show art on the Mac.  Look at the [Image File] field.  That should have the location of the image.  It will probably start with C:\ .  But that's just a guess.

If this is the case, you'll need to copy all of your cover art to a directory that the Mac can see.  Configure MC to see this directory for it's cover art.  Then you can probably run "quick find" on these files and have them find the art that you just put into MC's cover art directory.

To locate or change MC's cover art directory:
Tools > Options > File location > Cover art >
