Media Servers
« on: October 05, 2016, 05:41:22 am »

On My network at home I have a Windows Machine Version 19. the Access key is XXXxxx

I am playing around with a MAC machine also, Version 22.  Initially the Access Code was YYYYyyy.

Could "log onto" both machines with JRemote

Several days later I could not log onto second machine (the MAC)

The Windows machine is set to go to sleep at times and has to be re initialized from time to time.

Trying to troubleshoot, I note the Mac Access code is now XXXxxx.  Windows machine still XXXxxx

Does this make sense - shouldn't they be distinct/different?

If so, how to remedy?

Thanks

I believe you recently restored a backup from your Windows MC to your Mac MC.  If you have "settings" checked during a restore, it restores ALL settings, including the access key.  You can generate a new one on the Mac easily though.  Just click on it and press "reset".
