purchased -- unable to launch

john vookles:
I just purchased and downloaded JRiver. Clicked on the icon and was asked which application to use. I chose App Store. Moved the icon to desktop. When I click on it, I go to App Store, but I can't find JRiver.

It sounds like you might not have downloaded the software. Download the latest build here:

You'll end up with a DMG file. Double click the DMG file and it will mount. This is sort of like putting a CDROM in the drive. The DMG is a disk image. When the DMG mounts, a folder will open, and inside there, you'll see Media Center 22 . You'll also see a shortcut to Applications. Drag Media Center 22 into the Applications folder. You'll see a green + sign when you have it over the folder. Let go of the mouse button when you see the + sign and it will copy over to Applications.
Now that Media Center is in Applications, navigate there in Finder. Find Media Center 22, and double click it to launch it. You can choose to keep it in the Dock if you want, for easy access.
