JRiver taking a long time to start
« on: November 07, 2016, 09:25:22 am »

Hi

When I start MC it sometimes takes a long time to start. I believe the reason for this is it's looking at my server with a UNC path/and or network drive. If the server is off it waits for a timeout period, then normal service resumes.

How can I get JRiver to start faster when the server is off?
Also note the same thing happens when I quit MC.

Thanks..

(Running latest ver 21, Windows 10).

The same issue happens if I go to Tools -> Preferences -> Library and Folders (with server down). I have to wait as well for a long pause every time I click the left toolbar in this form (i.e. General, Media network etc). Isn't there some way to make it do a lazy load, rather than stall on timeouts? It's pretty frustrating. Thx!
