I have an LG HDR TV and JRiver is connected to an Onkyo receiver with the signal passing through. Madvr only recognises the Onkyo and the TV is simply listed as a Digital device connected to the Onkyo. The hdr settings do not appear at all when choosing the device when I use JRiver settings. While a video plays, I can see the menu choice (hdr) when right clicking on the screen to get madvr settings, but I then get an error message when I select it. Something about it not being available through the browser's settings.

You have to enable HDR on the TV and in the madVR option's under Devices->Your Monitor Name ->HDR. On my LG TV I had to enable HDR and 10 bit color under general settings.For 10 bit you have to enable BT.2020 in the madVR settings Devices->Your Monitor Name ->Calibration. Also enable HDR passthrough to your LG TV in the madVR settings Devices->Your Monitor Name ->HDR
