Can't install any version of PMW on new windows 10 laptop

Hi,

So need some help, I'm at my wits end. I can't install any version of PMW on my new Windows 10 laptop. Any other program installs fine. JRiver media center installs fine.

When I run the installer (for any version) the extracting bar comes up for a few seconds, then nothing.

Looking in the performance monitor, it shows the following APPCRASH:

Error is the same with all versions I've tried.  Anyone have any ideas, don't want to pay for JRiver MC as PMW has everything I need.

Antivirus software could cause that kind of problem.

Sorry forgot to mention, tried with every antivirus, firewall, UAC etc. turned off, still nothing.

If it is antivirus, turning it off may not be enough.  Uninstall it to be certain.  More here:

Nope, still not installing with AV uninstalled and PC rebooted...
