First post, but long time subscriber. I've finally come across an issue that hasn't already been answered, AFAIK.

About 20% of of the Blu-Rays I try to play eventually lock up at some point in the movie. Sometimes the lockup is at 15 mins, sometimes 37, it is at no specific time. Having the disc professionally cleaned has no effect. The locking up occurs direct play and backing up my disc to the HD. When the disc stops reading, you can audibly hear the drive cycling over and over, different sound than when reading and disc is spun to full speed. I haven't been able to identify why this happens or how to fix it.

My reader is a Samsung SH-B123L with the latest version of AnyDVD HD and have had success for years playing blu-rays, just not every single one.
