OK I upgraded and now no longer have the BSOD problem, yay!

Sadly the playback of high-res stuff stutters despite lots of fiddling about with input and output buffers. But really I don't care about this, I have no real interest in high res music (and I loathe MQA with a vengeance), but I just don't want my music PC BSODing if I click on the wrong file.
