JRiver won't recognize my handheld device (Google Pixel)

I have recently switched to the Google Pixel phone and I'm trying to move my music from JRiver (Media Center 21.0.90) to the phone.  For some reason JRiver is not even recognizing the "Handheld Device"...
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Swipe down from the top of the Pixel and check what the phone is doing through the USB connection to the computer. It may be set to charge only.
