Supported Burners?
« on: February 02, 2003, 11:20:32 am »

Where can I find a list of the supprted burners?  The FAQ says to check the Goldenhawk web sit, but which version of the Goldenhawk software is linked into the MJ8 program?  As the Goldenhawk software is updated, how long before MJ8 is relinked to support the new recorders?  Will Mj8 EVER be updated again?

I do not beleave there will be another Update for MJ8

MC9 does not use the Goldenhawk burner

MJ9 should be out in march (maybe) shortly after MC9 is out (Per: J River)

I beleave MJ9 will use the same Burner driver that should work with most if not all Burners

Thanks for the info.

What is the difference between MJ9 and MC9?

However, I need a new burner now, that MJ8 supports (mine died).  So how can I know what is safe to buy?  I did get a new burner today (forgot to think if it was supported), and it's not supported, so I must return it.

Is there a list of supported burners?

you can use MC9 for 30 days in trial trial mode and test it on your drive. if it wors then you can buy it.

no, it should work with Most if not all

it is beta but it really seems stable, more work should be done in the next 4 weeks dealing on bugs prior to release.

MJ9 will deal with music only

MC9 will deal with TV & Video etc... Along With Music
