JRemote iPad App Flashes up and Closes

Hello - I downloaded the JRemote app to my iPad.  It opened OK. Then once I entered the server key it said it was connected/ing and flashed off.  Each time I try to open it, the app comes up for about 1 second and closes itself down.  I tried deleting the app and reinstalling and the same thing happened after I entered the server key.  I also tried entering an IP address and it still crashes after entering the info. 

I had no problems setting up my iPhone 5S or 6S after I upgrading.

Any advice?

Now the same thing is happening with my iPhone 6S.  How do you get support for the app?  No one answered my iPad question from over a month ago.  Is there someplace else to get support?

This is support, but I have no idea why you're seeing that.

Did iOS get updated?

no recent upgrades to IOS.

Any other changes?
