Amazon Fire Stick

Gizmo on the Amazon Fire stick works pretty good, but not perfect.  Actually playing video/music is great, but it doesn't respond well to the Amazon Fire remote.  The play and pause button work fine, but the the fast forward/reverse buttons didn't work for me.  Also, if you happen to stop or quit a video, it doesn't remember your location.  Not a big deal, but could be a problem at times.

At this moment, away from home using our Amazon fire stick, watching a movie from home.  It's nice..... A few changes could make it great.

I agree.  It's now 2019 and this is still the case.  I've gotten Gizmo to play on FireStick, but it won't do anything with the fwd/rwd.  Also, it does not update the play count, so my library cannot tell something has been watched if it was watch on Gizmo on Firestick.

I suppose Gizmo is no longer supported.  I will be trying WebGizmo in a little bit, but I am not hopeful.  If anyone has had any luck, please let me know.

I'm hoping that JRiver for Android in the future will progress to the point where it can access a remote database.

Gizmo is supported.  Panel replaced WebGizmo.

I found this topic in search of how to best listen to my music while I have the Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra HD connected to my Yamaha AV-receiver and and Gizmo on my tablet to access the library on my server.

I managed to install Gizmo on the Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra HD and now can use it to access my music collection.

This video helped to get it installed: https://youtu.be/zuDCwzO2CGw

The app Apps2Fire is available in Google Playstore. The apk for Gizmo is available here: https://m.apkpure.com/de/gizmo/jriver.mediacenter.android
I used Total Commander for Android to install the apk.

The menus of the fire tv stick and Apps2fire have changed since the video has been produced however it's easy to find the respective locations in the new version.

It would be great if one could simply download the Gizmo app from the Amazon store.
