Zones across multiple computers not working reliably
« on: February 25, 2017, 09:09:09 pm »

My setup:

Loungeroom PC: Asus 8ch analogue out, hosts library.
Garage PC: onboard sound, client to library.

I tried making multiple zones on the loungeroom pc, but that was a complete failure (digital distortion, times not syncing on the same device).

So now my loungeroom pc plays a 2.1 system and a mono system in another room at the same time. Not ideal, but half the time I link zones on the same output device it crashes MC. Followed instructions from other threads on these topics, but don't have them to hand.

So now i'm trying to play the same thing at the same time on two pcs running MC, by linking zones, and they just don't wanna do it. The garage PC plays like 1 track ahead, not milliseconds, whole darn tracks.

Can you help? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here.

Like, I have no idea why these don't even try to sync?
