Here is a workaround while we wait for the feature to be implemented (don't hold your breath). You can maximize the 'Tag' area with the following action. Press the 'multiple window' icon in the upper right which is just to the left of the 'X' (close) icon. The you can expand the frame where the 'Tag' area resides by stretching the frame on its right border. Your cursor will turn to a horizontal pointer with arrowheads on both ends. The indicator is about midway but expansion can occur anywhere along this border.
