I'd really appreciate to be able to apply simple filters in theater view to certain views.

Say I have a view composed of both images and videos. If there were a menu item where one could select from some filtering options, say media types (all, video,images,...)

This is kind of the same as the view filter which is permanently applied in the Theater View and Standard view configurations, but available in Theater View.

It could involve text filters on fields too. I.e search.
