Help Burning a CD from MC 22.0.81
« on: March 17, 2017, 01:32:02 pm »

I have a 2 year old HP Envy CPU with a quad 4 chip, 12 Gigs or RAM and a 2 TiB HDD. I have partitioned the HDD and have a dual option to boot to Windows 10 or Linux Mint Debian Edition 2. I do have a master license for MC22 and have the correct edition installed on both the Windows and LMDE partitions.

I realize that the Linux Media Center will not burn cd's or dvd's yet, but my Windows Media Centre shows a cd in my disk drawer, but when I try to move (send) a music file into the burner, it doesn't go and does not show up in my compact disk F drive. I need a simple step by step way to do this, please.

Thanks,

A short guide is on our wiki: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Create_an_Audio_CD_or_DVD

Some of the wording may have changed, but the basic flow is the same.
You don't "drag" files onto the disc, but select them in MC and then select Burn Disc in the action window

Thanks, but I've tried what you suggestd prior to my original post with this problem.
I confirmed that my edition of MC (22.0.81) was registeered. Then selected a music file (song), clicked it and right clicked it, sent it to burner under drives/devices, and then went to audio CD F: and nothing was there. Where do i go from here?? The cd is recognized by MC. I even tried sending a short playlist with the same results.

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. After a while, I was able to burn both cd's and dvd's with MC 22.0.81 on Windows.

It should be as follows:

Click on Burn in the Action Window.

Select files and drag them to the Action Window

Click Burn.

This has been the same for a decade.
