I'll try to explain as best as I can. I have a sat receiver and often watch recorded videos with MC, by opening (=streaming) the .m3u files via the receiver's web interface. This works fine.

The problem is when I try to play/stream an ongoing recording, for example 20 minutes after the recording started. I've observed other players video progress bar, and it either won't display a duration time or if it does, it will usually keep increasing - and playback resumes without ever stopping.

With MC's progress bar, the current video duration appears, and playback stops after that. So, if I start streaming 20 minutes after the recording has started, MC will only play 20 minutes and stop. If I then restart playback, MC will only play for 40 minutes and so on.

Ideally, MC should identify it's an ongoing recording (file size keeps growing) and not stop playing.
