Converting DSD to 16/44.1
« on: April 04, 2017, 11:37:38 am »

My two high quality DACs play DSD natively.
For my streamers around the house (which play max 48kHz), I would like to generate 16/44.1 FLAC files from my DSD Files.
Previously I generated 24/44.1kHz FLACs and was happy with the quality of the conversion (played through a high quality DAC). How does JRiver truncate to 16bit when converting to 16/44.1? Does the conversion engine use dithering?

All bitdepth down-conversions use dithering in Media Center, indeed.

Thanks, Hendrik
sounds good. I'll save some space and go for 16/44.1
