I'm really trying to get JRiver to work, but this has been trying.

I am trying to get JRiver to act as an active crossover for my speakers. I installed JRiver on my old Late 2013 retina MacBook Pro, i5 with 8GB RAM on Windows 10 Pro, the WDM driver to be used with the Asus Xonar U7. With the WDM driver I get nothing but problems with constant skipping, pops, and/or lags every few seconds. No matter what I did the problems persist.

I tried it on my newer retina MacBook, a Late 2015 model, which is essentially the same MacBook but with an i7 CPU on Windows 10 Pro as well. Zero issues whatsoever.

I reinstalled Windows 10 on my old MacBook by formatting the drive and doing a clean install, not once, but twice. The problems still persist.

What could possibly go wrong?

Changing to WASAPI instead of ASIO seemed to do the trick. Not sure why. ASIO works perfectly on my newer laptop. I'll take it!
