Sometime very slow to respond to remote keypresses
« on: April 07, 2017, 01:37:15 pm »

Sometimes when watching video pressing pause does not immediately pause (can take 10-15 seconds) usually I will have pressed pause more than once by this time and the presses are then queued up which results in 10-15 seconds of video playing followed by 10-15 seconds of video being paused until it catches up.

I have a reasonably high spec machine AMD 8 core processor 32GB RAM and nothing else is running (although a library update to the linux based NAS might be running as as scheduled task). So two questions:

1. What is causing this long delay
2. Is there a way of not queuing up key-presses so that the repeated pausing/resuming doesn't occur.

I allow auto update to take place so should be running the latest version in any event this issue has been present for several of the recent versions

Could it be due to the scheduled task? I created it because JRiver can't seem to manage auto updating properly from a Linux NAS.

Thanks in advance
