We've done about 20 such integrations with services. None are still in operation. The customers who commissioned them are some big names like MTV and Best Buy.
The business terms offered by the record labels don't allow a service to be profitable in the long run. People like Jay Z seem to operate on the "greater fool" theory, investing with the hope that a bigger fool will come along and pay more for it. It's happened a number of times, but JRiver won't chase that kind of business.
We'll do it the old fashioned way, by building a steadily better product and providing the best service we can.

Hi
right I understand this, these streaming services are nothing stable nor longterm.
A way to integrate any of these or any externa source would be to enhance the "open live" tool.
A suggestion:
Under the "Audio" tab, there could be a categroy like "connected media" where the MC user can configure external inputs, the same as "Open Live" allows, but fixed configurations.
For example:
Input from Windows Audio
Input from ASIO Toslink (audio interface)
Input from ASIO analog (audio interface)
Behind thes inputs can the configuration be Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify etc.
That way you are general purpose and useful for any source.

Maybe that's already happened. Didn't Sprint recently pay $200 million for a THIRD of Tidal? Not a bad investment for Jay Z who paid $50 something million for ALL of it.

It's not clear how that deal was structured and how much, if any of it, went to the owners and how much went to support their losses. I'm guessing that it may only have made them solvent, and saved them from bankruptcy.

I was checking out Tidal and couldn't believe the amount of promotion for Jay Z all over it. And way over priced just to get lossless CD quality tracks in my opinion. But if that music scene is your flavor than enjoy!
