How to name bonus discs?
« on: May 23, 2017, 02:45:27 pm »

I would like to have the Rogue One bonus disc available to watch.  Is there a naming convention for bonus material?  How would JRiver catalog it and how would I select it for viewing?

Just rip it like an other movie.  Then name it in a way that makes sense to you.  If the bonus disc has one feature on it, this is easy.  If the bonus disc has 4,5,6 or more features on it, this becomes more difficult to manage.

Some people have devised ways of using extra fields to help categorize this type of thing.  I started doing that, but never got very far.  I may revisit my "bonus features organization" method at some point.

If named Rogue One Bonus Disc will it show up next to Rogue One.  That's almost rhetorical, but I needed to ask anyway.

It depends on your sorting.  If you are sorting alphabetically, then yes, it should show up with the original.

The sorting and display are rather dependent upon what view you are using:  Standard View, Theater View, etc.  Both are customizable in a very sophisticated and flexible way.
