New to JRiver MC 22
« on: May 08, 2017, 04:03:16 pm »

Evening all!

Before I go on explaining my situation, Please, allow me to express my amazement in JRiver MC22, I've never come across such a rich featured media centre in my life prior to yesterday.

I'm currently three days into my trial version of MC22 and I do intend on buying, however, being an unemployed individual, (mental health, they say I'm crazy, I tend to disagree). anyway, It's somewhat pricey for my wallet and I'd like to enquire if you guys ever do the odd discount, If so, how often do these come about, please?

So, as the title says, I'm currently new to JRiver MC 22, I've been trying to add my favourite Music Website for listening and buying music downloads from, which is BANDCAMP.

I go to Tools> Links. Manage links, I proceed in clicking add, where I then configure a Bandcamp option just like the Google and Amazon links.

Like so:
(Display Name)
Bandcamp
----------
(BaseURL)
[bandcampBaseURL] I've even tried adding the actual URL like https://bandcamp.com
----------------
(SearchURL)
[bandcampArtistSearchURL] and I've even tried [bandcampAlbumSearchURL]
-------------------------------

No matter which way I try to add the website, I keep on landing on a Blank white page, I must have added the URL in a dozen or so formats by now and no matter which way I configure the link, I just can't seem to get this feature working.

I've managed to add my Aero Platinum visualizations and have it working just fine.

everything else is just a matter of playing with the learning curve and I'm getting there, It's just the matter of adding my websites that I buy all my music from.

again, I'm a complete Noob to JRiver, so, I would like to ask if someone would kindly explain this situation to me, please.

has I've mentioned, I'm a complete noob, so layman's terms will be the best way for me, I'm afraid to say.

Thank You kindly

Regards

Is there anyone able to help me on with this problem?

Thank You

See if this works: Copy the below code and use the "Paste Link Information From Clipboard"

Code: [Select]

Band Camp

1

https:////bandcamp.com

https:////bandcamp.com//search?q=Hexify([Search])

[Media Type]=[Audio]

If it works, you can just replace [Search] with what ever field you use.

@221bBS

That actually did the job, Thank you so much for the code.

I'd of never have thought to add "////" these 4 backslashes, So, I'll just keep the code handy, then I'll be able to other sites in the future.

again, Thank you kindly for your help, it's really appreciated. ;D

@Castius

Yes, It was happening with any website that I added, however, now I actually have the format, It'll be a whole lot easier from now on.

You need to double any "/" forward slashes you encounter. Two (becomes Four) right after https: and one (becomes two) after .com
