Again all, thanks for the replies......I have several 5.1 files as well.....will these work via USB?

The stereo files will definitely work  going out to the Yamaha via  USB or network. The 5.1 files will likely not work going through the network though
they MIGHT work being output via USB. It all depends if the DAC that is associated with the USB audio in the Yamaha supports multi-channel audio.
