Jukebox Can't Find Windows Media Player
« on: January 30, 2003, 06:07:00 pm »

I just downloaded and installed Media Jukebox 8.0. When I try to play Windows Media files (radio stations) I get a warning that it cannot determine the version of Microsoft Media Player I have and that it must be version 6 or above.

I have WMP version 9 installed and it works fine. Is there something I'm missing? A setting I have to change?

And the source of your problem is...

WMP9 and MJ DO NOT get along with each other. You need to back WMP down to the default version ( WMPXP aka v8 ) in XP or v7.1 in W2k and the rest.

Maybe there should be a sticky thread about the WMP9 thing.  :)
