dichotomous1:
Are preferences (views, libraries, DSP settings etc) supposed to carry over from MC22? Mine comes up completely new.
Also, when viewing equalizer in DSP Studio, the view scale is extremely small and does not rescale with window rescale.
JimH:
Back up in MC22. Restore in MC23. Read carefully.

Not automatically. But it's pretty easy to import a backup from MC22 into MC23:
1. In MC22: File > Library > Backup Library . Take note of the file name and location.
2. In MC23: File > Library > Restore Library . Use the file from the step above.
That should get you everything: Settings, all files, views, playlists, etc.
Brian.
bMinor:
importing a backup from the previous version worked except for the custom resources (shortcuts etc) which i had to add manually

It would be nice if it detected older versions licenses, settings, and libraries and offered to use them. especially now for example since the license i applied to 22 was supposed to also work for 23, which it did just i had to figure it out and apply it myself. sure people can be this aware and do all of this stuff on upgrade but it might be nice if it 'just worked'. for example the first launch of the new version could pop up a dialog asking if you would like your settings and libraries applied.
