feature Requistes: Ignore Articles (Multilingial)

(1/2) > >>

stanzani:
I'd like the possibility to ignore articles from name, composition and where required when sorting. I'd Like 'la Traviata' Be filesa 'T', And 'Das Rheingold' be files as 'R'
I tried name swapping but it oviiousaly does not work well

muzicman0:
do a search in settings for 'articles', and add 'la', and 'das' to the list. (plus whatever else you may want)

cannot find ... is this the right place?

muzicman0:
No, I am on v22, but I imagine it is in the same place:  Go to Tools|Options|Tree&View

Under the Sorting Header, you can add articles.  I believe you separate with a semi colon.

blgentry:
Muzicman0 is correct.  Just to be complete with the answer:

Tools > Options > Tree & View > Sorting > ignore articles > (must be checked)
Tools > Options > Tree & View > Sorting > Articles > (click to edit)

You can add or remove articles from that section as you wish.  Looks like "La" is already there on my system.  Which makes sense.  "Ignore Articles" is turned OFF by default, so it's probably turned off on your system too.

"Das" is also in that list, so you probably won't have to add much to the list.  Just turn it on and see how it works.

Brian.
