How do you rename multiple tracks for Filename?

Tried F2 - can only change 1 at a time.
Tried right click - Rename (grayed out) if you select more than one track

So I can edit one at a time but need to select and edit a large group of tracks.
trying to do this:
=replace([filename], U:\, T:\)

as for now I guess I'll just keeping doing one at a time.

Welcome to one of MC's best tools:  Rename, Move, and Copy files .

<right click on files> Library Tools > Rename Move and Copy Files

This is a big powerful tool that can be a little overwhelming at first.  For your particular use, you probably want to use the Find and Replace template to substitute U:\ with T:\ .

You should probably look through the wiki article on the tool as a starter:

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Rename,_Move,_and_Copy_Files

I'm happy to answer your questions and help guide you through using the tool if necessary.

Good luck!

Brian.

Thanks.
yea doing some more searching I found F6 which goes to another screen to replace.
On older versions of JRiver I'm pretty sure F2 was allowed since that is how I remember doing that.
Not sure why they are blocking that now.

Just remember there is a diffrence between renaming the tag "Name" and the actual filename. Which one are you trying to do?  F2 works on multiple tags for me, but that won't change the filename.

jondavis:
I'm not sure but I think this works while I'm in a playlist, maybe that is why I thought you could change in an earlier version.
