Change subtitle slowly

If I want to see the subtitles on the fly while watching a Blu Ray, the change does not happen instantly but after a few seconds: is it a hardware problem?

I have an i5-3550, AMD HD 6670 and 8GB RAM

Unfortunately thats just how it works. It'll only show future subtitles, and not any that should already be shown right now - primarily because it would have to go digging in the file for any old subtitles otherwise, which is not quite feasible. There are exceptions to this, if a file was specifically made to support looking up older subtitles - but Blu-rays don't do that.
