Yeah, it doesn't work like it does in Windows/Mac. You'll have to manually add it to the startup applications for your desktop environment, or add it to the X startup scripts somewhere.
bob:
I just tried 23.0.32-2 on 17.04 amd64 with a GT640 video card using the nvidia-304 driver and it works fine without any messing around.
With the nouveau driver it also worked though screen movement was clunky.

I am using the 340.102 driver with no issues The Nouveau driver is not as smooth.
At first it will not install, but it was as of a few days ago. It will prompt to remove, but I will not.
When I will fire up MC 23... then I get seg fault. It looks like the seg fault pointed to the display.
On 23.0.28, I have not experienced any seg fault, except for issues noted earlier.
btw.. what is the meaning of Strech? at the moment I am only using a 4K Samsung JU40-7100 tv just for this final setup, then I will disconnect from the Samsung.
Thanks for your quick response.

On the link you sent to me, I got 99 139. It looks like that part according to your link and posts by others is working.
I am yet to post actual DLNA playback on the tvs for the audio breaking and jumping.
I will keep you posted.
Thanks so much for your guidance and directions.
I will also find a way to let MC starts on OS startup.
George
