Frustrating: Read track failed. Failed to initialize the encoder plugin

Captron:
This is an W-7, I-7 computer.
Reads the tracks fine, PLays the music fine,  finds the Album fine, but wont rip even to WMA and others
No other encoders loaded
Uninstalled then reinstalled to no avail:
JR MJ V14.0.166
I don't want a Media Center just something to play and rip tunes. Something MJ does very well as a rule.
I normally get $75/hr thus so far this has cost me several hundred dollars.
