best strategy for transferring to another machine (Mac to PC) + Dropbox -

Hello,
Long time user, first time forum post -

Currently running:
MC 22.0.88 for Mac || OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 || MacBookPro (Mid-2012)

I'd like to begin transferring back to a PC, but remain open (in the future) to any machine, keeping all audio files and MC Libraries in my Dropbox account, if possible. All files currently on internal HD.

I uploaded 2-3 Artist's files from the Mac to Dropbox, then imported the Library to my PC:
MC 22.0.108 || Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

Upon completion, my PC MC library showed all the missing files (on the Mac), plus the Dropbox as duplicates, without the updated tag info. I reviewed my optionsi n Library Tools, but could not determine the optimal method.

So what is a recommended strategy to transfer everything - audio, ratings, playlists?
Does this change if using Dropbox (or another cloud-based platform)?
