Change in DLNA status checking logic in the next build of MC 23
« on: September 21, 2017, 02:48:40 pm »

Tracing the dump from a Cambridge NP30 turned up an issue with the DLNA controller option "Ignore GetPosition failure" added in MC23.
This option is meant to help with non-compliant firmware.

The NP30 (and a few other devices) are improperly sending back a server error for a function required to be supported by the protocol.

With the next build of MC the "Ignore GetPosition failure" option will not be on by default (the logic was reversed) so now the default will be to use the relaxed testing.

This will avoid triggering the firmware bug and fixes the NP30 skip issue without turning off the SetNext (gapless) support.

It will probably also help with some other renderers that displayed various control issues like not starting playback, the skip issue, etc.
