Video slow to load [Solved]

Hi there

I am running MC19 and when opening videos, the wait is pretty long. I just tried one from my C drive which took 40 seconds to open with Hardware Acceleration turned on in the MC video settings and 45 seconds with it turned off. This is only a symptom in MC. VLC and media player classic both open things within a couple of seconds at most. Doesn't seem to make a difference whether the drive is networked or local. I'm pretty sure this hasn't always been the case but I'm just really starting to use MC for video so I can use smartlists to curate TV.

Any suggestions or further info required?

Thanks for the reply. I have Avast on which I have tried disabling all the shields. Came up as the same time. 45 seconds from click to video playing.

OK so enabling hardware acceleration and changing the settings to Red October HQ seems to have completely solved the issue. I could have sworn I'd tried that before but I'm not complaining. Thanks to anyone who took time to scratch their heads over this even if they didn't answer.
