6. NEW: MC will automatically search the Cover Art\TV Logos\ folder for channel logos if a channel does not already have a logo file saved in the Image File tag.

Please advise on how the "automatic search" works? Do we have to name the Logo something specific for the automatic search to work? Are the Logos then just assigned by MC? or do we still have to go into the options > television > manage channels > right click on every channel > assign... repeat....

Check in MC where your cover art is stored (normally it is "C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 23\Cover Art\", but you may set it to a different location).  Add a sub folder named "TV Logos" if it does not already exist.  Place all your channel logo files (jpg or png) in the folder.  Each file must be named using the exactly the same name as each channel.  For example if you have a channel named "5 NBC5", then the logo file must be "5 NBC5.jpg" or "5 NBC5.png".

Well it seems to be as tedious as setting logo images inside MC's "Manage TV Channels", but you have a choice.

Since rebuilding my Server machine, I had not tackled channel logos because they were not (easily) restored from previous Server library backup. Does this new method actually save the logos when doing a MC library back up? If so, this is one huge advantage of the new logo method. The other advantage, IMO, you don't have to access the Server MC settings at all. Simply name the logo properly and drag-n-drop into the logo folder (via folder sharing from any machine).

Think I found a bug - logos assigned with new (drag-n-drop into folder) method do NOT show up on clients. All logos show up fine on the Server. I have restarted the clients.

note: logos assigned using the old method (manually set in Server manage channels) do show up on clients.

If its anything like Season/Series cover art, you need to open a view on the server first that shows them, or MC won't figure out they exist if a client asks.

Went ahead on imported photos from the Logo folder on the Server. Can see them as pictures on the clients, but they do NOT show up in the Guide.
