Audio Configuration in JRiver when using Bluetooth speaker/headphones?

Hi All,

I am having some configuration problems in getting JRiver to play audio for videos with surround sound (and sometimes stereo), through a Bluetooth speaker. Some videos work and all audio files work, but most videos, movies specifically, does not play any sound through the speaker. I have played around with the output formats (down mixing to stereo), Setting audio device to default or the connected speaker itself with no success. Am I missing something or could there be an OS option I am missing?

This is on a 2013 Macbook Pro running High Sierra

Opening the same videos in VLC, does play the audio correctly through the Bluetooth speaker (assuming there is also some down mixing if it is 5.1) and those supported by QuickTime also works.

Any advice?
