mysterious "Ipc" stream
« on: November 01, 2017, 07:02:14 am »

Does anyone have any idea why a stream mysteriously shows up in my players.  If the playlist is idle it will even replace whatever is in the playlist.  The stream is named "Ipc" and the URL referenced is 'live://ipc?pipe=00000740&streaming=1'.  It plays nothing...

(BTW... I have to zones defined as players, one for audio, the other for video.  The stream affects both)

TIA  :)

That's the WDM driver kicking in because something played a sound on your system.  You can turn it off if that bothers you.

Thanks Matt!

Turning it off would be a good idea (i.e., I really don’t need to be notified).

How do I turn it off??

Thanks again...

I thought you meant how to turn off the notification, not the driver...

I like the WDM driver... let me see if I can somehow accommodate the notification and it changing the playlist. Last night I had preset a playlist to play later, to later find it had been replaced, apparently by some system notification.

Any chance this can be disabled by JRiver within the driver?

You could turn off system sounds.
