How To: Add your own toolbar text

Caution: This involves editing the registry. Use at your own risk.

1. Open Registry
2. Goto: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Jukebox\MCToolbar (top)
3. Find your toolbar button. It's listed there on the right.
4. Change the very last 0 to a 1
   EXAMPLE:
  From: (1:1)(1:2)(7:Forward)(5:22006)(1:0)(2:17)(1:1)(1:0)
  To: (1:1)(1:2)(7:Forward)(5:22006)(1:0)(2:17)(1:1)(1:1)

5. Refresh toolbar. (either by right click on it, choose selective text to no text, vice versa)

This shows "Forward" next to the Forward Icon.

Now you have your own toolbar text for your icons.

Thanks for the hack notes. Would still be better if MC had real toolbar options. Surely this will come after major UI revisions are done.... or will they ever be so?  ;)

I agree - thanks for the hack but I'd rather this was a proper option within MC along with the number of sticky right click memories :(

Wahoo :)

Just used this.

Tweaked the bottom tool bar too.

The bottom one is now a list of buttons (all with text) for the main parts of MC for quick navigation:

Playing Now | Media Library | Playlists | Devices | My Computer | Recently Imported | Top Hits | Recently Played

Gives a nice navigation tool other than the tree :)

Love it - still wish I hadn't had to hack around the registry to do it though :(

U can do it for all the toolbars - I just added text to the location tool bar - makes it sooo much clearer :)

To get the settings to appear in the registry if they're not there, u have to first of all customise the tool bar. MC then creates it in the registry and u then can edit it to give whichever buttons u want text :)
