JRemote for pre IOS 10 devices
« on: November 28, 2017, 11:53:09 am »

It seem the latest version of JRemote for Apple devices only works with IOS 10. I have a couple of older devices that I’d like to put JRemote on but they do not support an upgrade to IOS 10. Is there any way around this? How can I get an older version of JRemote?

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can.

However, Panel might be a worthy replacement in this case.

If you have ever installed it before, it may still be in the apps folder of iTunes.

One suggestion if you have an older device is to use something like iMazing to back up the apps you use prior to any restore. Not a bad idea for any device. I just re-installed my iPhone 6 from scratch, and many apps are showing as no longer available on the app store at all. I have been able to restore them from backup and they still work fine.

Thanks Awesome Donkey. I’m just starting to play around with JRiver and wasn’t aware of this feature. The simple interface is quite nice and the fact you can stream decent quality audio through the browser is very handy.
