Some playback problems on MC 9.x
« on: June 24, 2003, 06:23:19 am »

Since the silence removal between songs was introduced (kudos for that :) ), I have been using it a lot.

However, recently I noticed that it does not work when the output format is changed in the DSP settings. Is this a bug?

Also, I have some songs that have silence in between, which the silence removal option removes (as would be expected), so I was thinking, would it be possible to separate the silence removal in two options: inside songs and between songs? That would be excellent!

I also have a VBR MP3 with a very long silence at the end of the song, and if I disable silence removal this slows down my whole system unbelievably until the end of the silence part. I can send it to you if you wish.

On a similar note, when I reach the end of the "Playing now" playlist I get a similar major system slowdown for a few seconds. Could it be related?

Here are my system specs:

Forgot to ask, anyone else got these problems, or is it just me?
