MC23 x64 and makemkv libmmbd64.dll to play bluray (solved)

Previously with MC 32 bit it was possible to play blurays by using the Makemkv libmmbd.dll (I used to symlink as per Hendrik's instructions here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,103403.msg718518.html#msg718518)

I have tried the same trick with MC23 x64 and tried symlinking libmmbd64.dll to the MC program folder but with no success...any advice?

It still has to be called libmmbd.dll, if you symlink it remove the 64 in the process.
